Historical setting, centrally located with easy access
Manage noise disturbances from the street and nearby nightclub!!! Improved cleanliness of rooms necessary, with attention to dirty carpets and unflushed toilets!!! Maintenance issues should be addressed, like peeling wallpaper and broken amenities!!!

Lights did not work. One pillow disappeared and there were no spares.Cheff failed to turn up for breakfast one morning so we went elsewhere. Single bed very high and wobbley. Would not accept credit/debit card asked for cash. Complimentary meal offered as a good will gesture but there were no steaks available only lamb as a substitute. Not very satisfactory as I wanted a rib eye steak.

Neat rooms with nice big bed & bathroom, reasonable prices. Plenty of options, brilliant food. Location next to a taxi rank that serves the local pubs, bars and the centre. Also, in the Market Square.

charming, charming, charming
I was captivated by the beautifully decorated restaurant area. The hearty full English breakfast lived up to its reputation as one of the best I've had with a good variety of options. The hotel's historical ambiance as an old coaching house created an inviting and unique atmosphere that I couldn't get enough of!
would recommend 😊❤️

food ok
well where do i start, i booked this for a family break to the f1 track because of the location. i never will go back it was filthy & the noise frome the street outside was unreal, not so mutch the traffic but the screeming & fighting going on late at night from the club across the street. the parking was ok but, when you came to the entrance all you could see was fag ends all over the place, along with the grubby tables. what would it cost to give it a tidy up not a lot. all in all the room we had was filthy as was the toilet i took pics of it just to show friends how bad it was for the money we had to pay (up front). lots more i could add but i will put that on the webb page.

Book for the room with extra bed. When we arrived, the hotel told us that could not put the extra bed and offered another type of room which was more expensive. Should advertise for what facilities that can offer. The hotel has bad smell and not clean.

The spacious room was a highlight, offering comfort and a cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed the good breakfast variety, perfect for a satisfying start to the day. Noise from the street did interrupt my sleep, and the lack of storage options in the room was a bit inconvenient.
